My car is jam-packed

It’s a good thing ManRay wasn’t planning to come along to this week’s show at Sage Farm. There isn’t any room in the car for him!

I’m bringing enough chenille dotted pillows to fill a large sofa. Aren’t these colors great together? They all have brand new pillow inserts.

These crazy pillows make me smile every time I look at them.

I would love to keep this dresser, but I don’t have anywhere to put it. Love the green. Love the wonderful job my father did on the top. Love the big glass knobs! Really DON’T love having it sit in my living room!

Most of my Honda Element is taken up with this gigantic Empire dresser with a refinished mahogany top and a jadeite chalk paint bottom. I’m so relieved to have it out of my living room!

My very first vintage dish collection. I kept them in a china cabinet with an interior painted sky blue. I’m crazy for thinking about selling them!

Then there’s an entire table full of pink Moderntone platonite. These were my very first vintage dishes. I started collecting them over twenty-five years ago before there was a World Wide Web or eBay. I had a subscription to a collector’s newsletter–it basically was a newspaper of classified ads for Depression Glass.

Every month I’d look forward to getting that paper and pore over it ad by ad, looking for just the right pieces in just the right color. Unlike the yellow, green and blue, the pink platonite came in two shades, dark and light. I only wanted the lighter shade. Picky, picky, right? And of course I had to have all the available pieces, so there are sherbets and cream soups and even a set of coordinating tumblers. I hope someone new falls in love with them!
