Month of Makeovers

Welcome to our very first Month of Madness…er…Makeovers! For the entire 31 days of October 2013 we’re joining the fun with hundreds of other bloggers at the big link party hosted by The Nester.

It’s junk transformation time! How could we pass up the ultimate opportunity to start–and finish!–all those projects we thought we might complete someday? Someday is NOW. We’ve got all sorts of interesting vintage things stashed away that need just a little magic to become extra special–or just plain useable. We might even have a decorating project or two up our sleeves. We hope you’ll stick around to see what we’ve got in store. Links to all the month’s posts will be listed below.

Here’s how things looked on Sunday afternoon at Pettengill: Nothing left but trampled grass. We sold it ALL! (Just dreaming!)

The booth is gone, but my car is still loaded with stuff ManRay, my hubby, didn’t want to unload last night at 10 p.m. after a long drive home from MA. We got our wish for wonderful weather on Sunday. All my tiki mugs and Viewmaster reels went home with new owners. And we’re already looking forward to the next Dish Sisters Event.

monthofmakeovers150Over on Nester’s blog, The Nesting Place, they’re gearing up for a month-long link party in October. We’re planning to get in on the action using the theme of 31 Days of Makeovers. We’re brainstorming, making lists of potential projects and digging through boxes for forgotten items that need a little magic. I’ve got a teal and gold sari with a hole in the middle, a quilt that was loved to shreds, a stack of blue plastic tiles, and pulp fiction book covers–and that’s just for starters. Too bad I wasn’t planning this in August because I probably should have started with 31 Days of Organizing My Junk. Can we really pull this off? Stay tuned!
